UNUSUAL BUT ENTERTAINING

So we are sitting around chatting (we do more of that now since we got rid of TV). I looked over and found C doing this.  Then M had to show me how she can fit her whole fist in her mouth and K showed me his summersaults and J showed me how her wrists can make odd popping sounds.

LOVE

I was in the warm house getting ready for church when I looked outside to see him scraping off all my windows and shoveling the driveway for me to get out.   He sure does love us!

GIFT OF THE YEAR

T worked on this little number just before Christmas and gave it to K for Christmas.   Our boy was ecstatic.  He has loved on this toy ever since.  I would like to say best.idea.ever.

THINKIN' BACK

Having all this snow around has me thinking about a time in the 1980s when I was living on a farm with my mom, dad, and sister and it snowed so much that it reached the top of our fence line and we had a snow drift that reached the top of our garage. We had a tractor come and dig out enough snow from the end of our lane so we had a place to park the pickup truck off the road. My sister and I would slide down the drifts those were cold carefree days.

RIGHT NOW (2)

I am listening to C sing a beautiful song she has made up while she is making crackers and jelly for her snack....there is a little talking to herself as well.

I LOVE IT!

NOT ME MONDAY

I have been following MckMama on her blog for awhile now and I have done a few Not Me Mondays this year I want to try to do more. If you would like to check out other Not Me Mondays go here.

So I did not lie in my warm little bed longer than I promised this morning. I would never be the one to wait until the last very possible minute to grab my clothes, throw them on, and rush downstairs before my husband got out the shower and get his socks and underwear like I promised I would.

I did not let my kids snack on cookies for dinner last night because I just wanted to hang out with them one last little bit before the went back to school and not be tied up in the kitchen with dinner.

I did not breathe a sigh of relief when I dropped my oldest off because she woke up in an unbearable mood this morning. I love every second with my kids. My teenager is always a ray of sunshine!
